
In our coaching, we often explore values with people. What are the core values or guiding principles that are most important to the way we live our lives – inside and outside of work? Freedom is a value that is often discussed. And it’s a word that comes up in a range of different contexts. But what does freedom really mean? What does it look like? How does it feel to be free? What gets in the way? Who really stops us from being free? So, the BBC’s Freedom2014 season caught my attention, and in particular some of the wonderful images that people have sent in to show what freedom looks like to them. Take a look here.
For me, my daughter cycling off on two wheels around our Spanish campsite, no stabilisers on her bike for the first time, and her growing smile, wide eyes and sense of pride is an image that immediately comes to mind. What does freedom look like to you…?
