One of the fun activities we do during our InsideOut Adventures is to explore a variety of different songs, articles, films that get us thinking, and bring alive the leadership themes of awareness, courage, resilience and inspiration. A favourite film that generates debate and reflection is the 2004 award-winning ‘The Motorcycle Diaries’ – the biopic of 23-year old Ernesto Guevara’s written memories in the years before he became internationally known as the revolutionary ‘Che Guevara’. It’s a great film from various different angles – stunning scenery, a road trip, a coming-of-age film, fine acting, a compelling true story – and it also offers up questions for us all to consider around what’s important to the way we lead our lives, what impact do we want to make, what’s most important to us, and how do we make things happen? Worth checking out if you missed it, and worth watching again and reflecting on your own adventures, directions, priorities and hopes.
