Taking inspiration from community leaders
It was a privilege to once again support the GNDR team at their Global Summit, this time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With more than 120 delegates from 60+ countries, most people working with communities at the frontline of disasters – places such as Haiti, Syria, Bangladesh, Chile, Burundi – as well as UN and Government representatives, it was a really special week. A fun facilitation challenge with plenty of learning about leadership, courage and resilience in some of the most challenging regions of the world.
